Trainees have access to special experiences including organized lunches and field trips around NYC. These moments provide bonding experiences allowing them to develop their soft and hard skills in various environments throughout the program.

Trainees learn about daycare, grooming, dog walking, dog breeds, dog behavior and more, leveraging an accredited curriculum. The training manuals were built by our team and each Trainee receives their own physical copy to guide them through the program.

Trainees enjoy exciting field trips ranging from visits to animal rescues and shadowing dog walkers, to seeing what happens behind the scenes at a pet shop. These experiences are an opportunity to learn about other job opportunities in the pet care industry.

Trainees rely on efficient technology such as iPads, high speed Internet and noise canceling tech. These items are critical to ensuring Trainees feel accommodated and comfortable at Pawsability.

The job training program would not be possible without Pawsability’s dedicated and compassionate staff who supervise the Trainees while simultaneously caring for dogs at the facility.
